Add to Calendar

The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, together with the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and Partners in Population and Development, Dhaka, organise an informal, off-the-record exchange of views on Monday, 25 January 2016.

The dialogue is being convened on the sidelines of the 138th session of the World Health Assembly Executive Board. Professor Ilona Kickbusch, Director of the Global Health Programme will moderate this event.

The discussion focuses on the role that a Framework Convention on Global Health could play in accelerating action and strengthening accountability for the health-related SDGs, as well as strengthening global health security and improving health equity. The discussion will also invite views on possible future modalities and fora for inter-governmental and civil society dialogue towards the elaboration and achievement of a Framework Convention.
