In the face of the persistence and mutation of multilayered discrimination, efforts for antiracism and diversity have gained newfound momentum worldwide. The issue is, however, complex and challenging. How is inclusion engineered? What are the drivers of racism? 2022 cohort testimonials
The course is a great opportunity to network. Participants are experienced and come from diverse horizons (private, public sectors, IOs…). It is great to have a network of peers with whom we can share best practices and concerns. The group encouragement is very important, particularly on such a topic. The course makes me think about those issues in a new way.
The course created a space to exchange on racism, which is very important. It helps everyone take a step back and have the broader picture in mind (historical aspects…).
I really enjoyed the diversity in the course: diversity of speakers (faculty from the Institute and from Australia, experts from private sector and NGOs…), of topics, of participants’ backgrounds. We were exposed to diverse perspectives (private sector, NGOs, IOs…), which was very interesting.
It was really helpful and fascinating to raise questions, to listen to questions from participants that were carefully addressed and integrated in the course. The exercise conducted by Mahmoud and Davide was very helpful; it allowed participants to work on a concrete example.
