This seminar course introduces a series of topics to Ph.D. students interested in the fields of resource economics and/or development economics. The course is evaluated by means of presentations by students on papers chosen by lecturers, and by means of presentations by students on a topic of their choice. The object of the course is to assist the student in the choice of the topic for their doctoral research. The course consists of: 4 one-hour seminars by 4 invited lecturers from the department; a one-hour presentation by each student on a topic selected by the lecturer; and a one-hour presentation by each student on a topic selected by the student.
