This advanced seminar engages with a number of themes in the study of political relations and a broad range of topic applications. First, we review a number of key themes, including structure and agency, space and time, power and institutions, horizontal and vertical linkages, and isomorphism and diversity. We then discuss a variety of topics related to students' interests, which may include crime, social movements, governance, legislation, policy diffusion, law, and more. This seminar should serve students looking to theorise dynamics in a particular substantive area they are interested in.
