Visiting Fellow at the Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy and Human Rights Officer at the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Geneva.

Jurist, international law specialist with substantial international human rights experience in intergovernmental organizations and Government positions. Admitted to the practice of law in Canada.

His work has focused on criminal law in Canada as a Legal Counsel at the Ministry of Justice of Quebec (Canada) from 1999 to 2001.

Since 2002 he has been supporting thematic Special Procedures mandate-holders from the UN Human Rights Council, such as the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, the Special Rapporteur on Sale of children, the Special Rapporteur on the right to education, the Special Rapporteur on migrants, the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism and the Independent Expert on human rights and international solidarity, carrying official missions and visits to numerous countries accross the globe.

He has also lectured on international human rights law for the Master's Degree in International Diplomacy and Public Service offered by the University of Barcelona and the Centre for International Affairs (CEI) from 2014 to 2019.

As a visiting fellow, he is writing a research paper on the causes of populism and the threats it poses to multilateral institutions.
