Ryan Kimmitt has been working for the Global Health Centre since June 2019. He works primarily as a research assistant for the project "Analysing the data from the Portfolio-to-Impact (P2I) R&D modelling tool for non-commercial R&D".
Prior to his work at the Global Health Centre, Ryan worked for Epic Systems doing quality assurance for electronic medical record software. He spent two years in Senegal with the United States Peace Corps working in community economic development, primarily focusing on connecting local entrepreneurs with resources offered by government programs, NGOs, and other funding sources. Since arriving in Geneva he has been studying for a Masters of Development Studies at the Graduate Institute, as well as interning for the International Committee of the Red Cross where he conducted research for the Health Care in Danger initiative.
His areas of research interest include violence against healthcare systems, efficacy of pharmaceutical research and development, and blockchain technology.
