Education Coordinator, Global Health Centre


Lemlem Girmatsion is a public health specialist with an undergraduate degree in Health Studies (BHSc) from the University of Western Ontario and a master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Before moving to Geneva in 2010, she worked in the area of Health Promotion with the Indigenous people of Canada in the NorthWest Territories. Prior to joining the University of Geneva as Programmes Coordinator, she worked as a Health Consultant for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) with the health department in Geneva. Currently, Lemlem holds the position of Education Coordinator at the Global Health Centre.
