Internal Admission Application

Internal Admission to PhD Programmes for Current and Past Graduate Institute Students

The internal application form must be submitted online and all the required supporting documents received by the Admission Office before the application deadline (see application form for details). These documents can be submitted by email to admission@graduateinstitute.ch.
For your information, there is no application fee for internal candidates.

To be considered as complete, the application file should contain:

Regular Internal Applications

• An updated CV.
• A brief research proposal (for more information concerning the content and length required, please contact the head of the relevant department).
   

Obtaining a minimum grade of 5 for the Masters / DEA / DES Dissertation is a condition of admission for regular internal applicants. Any internal applicant having already completed his/her studies, including graduate students from previous diplomas of the Institute, must have obtained this grade to be eligible to apply.

If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please use the scholarship request form provided. A complete scholarship request file should be submitted together with your application documents.
