Welcome to the International Law Unit at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.

 

The International Law Unit is a high level and diverse academic community that is strongly engaged in the issues of theory, policy and practice that arise in international law and relations today. It offers a unique graduate education in international law with a wide variety of courses at both the master's and doctoral level.

Our faculty members are respected international experts in their fields who are active in research and publication of their work, as well as providing advice to governments and international organisations, and serving on key bodies in their fields.
