International Institutions and Regulation (Spring - E280)

Course description

In today’s globalised world, the increasing interdependence among States has raised questions about the management of issues that go well beyond the borders of their individual jurisdictions. The proliferation of international institutions over the past six decades is in part a response to a growing need to manage these issues in the most appropriate way. This multidisciplinary course explores the challenges raised by the management of interdependence and puts into com- parative perspective the various regulatory tools used by actors in different domains, such as security, trade, human rights and the environment.
