Development strategies for the XXIst Century

Organized by the Centre for Finance and Development and the OECD Development Centre

The 2019 edition of the OECD Perspectives on Global Development (PGD) will focus on “Development Strategies”: why are our development paradigms failing to integrate the increasing complexity and diversity of individual countries’ development paths? How can they be reframed?

On 24 May 2018, Jason Gagnon, Economist and coordinator of the project at the OECD Development Centre, will present preliminary findings from the forthcoming PGD 2019 report, providing insights on what a new development paradigm might look like. Notably, he will lead a discussion on the following issues:

  •     The new global context: “shifting wealth”
  •     Towards more Inclusive growth
  •     Rethinking development strategies and international co-operation
  •     Facing up to new development challenges

This event is part of the CFD Flagship Reports Series and is jointly organized by the Centre for Finance and Development and the OECD Development Centre.

The event will take place on Thursday 24 May 2018 from 12:30 to 13:45 in Auditorium Ivan Pictet A2, Maison de la paix.

Free entrance. Registration required.
