Admissions and fees
The dual degree with Harvard Kennedy School is a highly selective programme, which is not compatible with a full-time or part-time job and is intended for outstanding candidates with a minimum of seven years professional experience. They are admitted by each institution and must meet the eligibility criteria of both:
- The Graduate Institute: general information on the application procedure
- Harvard Kennedy School: application procedure
- Application deadline: 4 December
Candidates must apply separately to each institution, using each institution's application form and within each institution's deadline
Note the respective programme deadlines at each institution (see below). As part of our agreement, for those who are offered admission at both institutions, the admission offer by Harvard Kennedy School is then deferred for the one year of study at the Graduate Institute (i.e. securing a place in the HKS programme for the second year).

Tuition fees and financial aid
Students must pay their tuition fees to the institution at which they spend their academic year:
Two scholarships (Pierre Keller Scholarship) are available every year to candidates with documented financial need. In Geneva, the scholarship covers tuition and living expenses for the first year of the programme. For the second year, scholarship conditions are set by Harvard Kennedy School on a case-by-case basis. Scholarship applications must be submitted at the same time as the application for admission, at each institution.
