Dr Luna Iacopini is a lecturer at the Graduate Institute. She holds a Master of Arts in Political Sciences from the University of Florence (Italy), and an Interdisciplinary Master in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute. She has received her PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Geneva.
As an education specialist, she works on educational choices, higher education and TVET issues, with a special focus on international student mobility, educational inequalities, and the impacts of internationalisation and privatisation in Vietnam, Southeast Asia and Switzerland.
She has worked and researched in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. Prior to joining the Graduate Institute, Luna Iacopini worked for four years at the University of Geneva. Before joining the University of Geneva, she gained professional experience on educational policies and programmes at the ILO - Skills Department in Geneva and various international NGOs and think tanks in Europe. She also worked two years as an international consultant at the ILO Office in Vietnam.
