The course is designed primarily for MIA students who have some economic background at the level of the course “Economics and International Affairs" offered in the Fall term.

Subject to available space, it is also open to non-economics students with a similar background. It presents the building blocks of international macroeconomic theory and uses them to examine current issues.

The course objective is to provide students with the tools needed to understand the evolution of bank crisis and financial regulation and debates.

The lectures will combine class presentations and discussions about current – or historical – events. Review sessions will be devoted to exercises.
