The GHC invites you to join these events that are free of charge at the Maison de la paix Petal 2 Auditorium. Registration is welcomed but not required.

Introduction to the World Health Assembly: A briefing for delegates
For the third consecutive year, an introductory briefing for WHA delegates and participants will build understanding around WHO’s role in global health by outlining important elements of WHA procedures and governance; presenting insights into stakeholder preparations; and providing an overview of key issues at stake at WHA70.

Innovative Financing, Transforming Governance: What does it mean for countries and organisations?
This event will address the impacts of the changing global political context on the financing streams of the development actors and its consequence on receiving countries; the new approaches to sustainably finance health systems; and the challenges inherent in transitioning towards domestic financing models and its impact on governance for health.

Transparency for Innovation and Access to Medicines: What are the benefits & risks, obstacles & solutions?
This event will reunite civil society with private and public stakeholders to explore the potential of increasing transparency in the pharmaceutics sector and discuss the challenges and risks involved in the process. Specific potential areas for increased
transparency will be tackled, such as medicine pricing, costs of R&D and manufacturing, and the patent status of medicines.

Health in All Policies: Launch of the Global Network
This event will launch the Global Network for HiAP to strengthen and institutionalise HiAP and facilitate its implementation at domestic and international levels. The network aims to help its member countries to achieve the health related SDGs and Universal Health Coverage.

Global Health R&D: How can we best set priorities based on evidence?
This event will address various endeavours and initiatives to monitor and analyse R&D activities. The event will further examine the significance of coordination between major R&D organisations and will set the agenda for the new Expert Committee on Health R&D to provide advice on R&D priorities that would likely be financed.

Governing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs): Addressing the commercial determinants of health
This event will explore the mechanisms developed by various stakeholders to counter the NCDs pandemic by addressing the commercial determinants of health, including governments implementing selective taxation, business taking self-regulatory measures and financial institutions or large portfolio holders divesting from health harming industries.
