The Centre for International Environmental Studies was established in 2010 for the purpose of developing political, legal and economic discourse on problems related to the global environment. It is dedicated to the better understanding of the social, economic and political facets of global problems related to the environment. The main activity is focused around:

 

CIES participates in a number of academic networks and conferences on the analysis of international environmental issues, and also plays its part in hosting relevant workshops and international conferences: Geneva Dialogues, Symposia and International Workshops. It also hosts regular Brown Bag Lunches within the fields of political science, economics and law – looking at problems related to the environment.
