Poorna Mazumdar is a PhD candidate in Development Economics at the Graduate Institute. She holds a Master's degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics; and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Xavier's College at Bombay University. 

Her professional experience includes working as a Research Assistant with the Centre for the Study of African Economies at the University of Oxford, working as an ODI Fellow (Overseas Development Institute) in the Planning Directorate of the Malawian Ministry of Health as well as consultancies for GIZ for their Malawian Health Programme and the World Bank for their Poverty team in Indonesia.

At the CCDP, she will be working on the project on Curbing Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) from Resource-Rich Developing Countries as a Research Assistant.
