The Graduate Institute and the China Foreign Affairs University sign a cooperative agreement
The Graduate Institute, Geneva is pleased to announce the signature of a cooperative agreement with the China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) in Beijing. Founded in 1955 under the initiative of former Premier Zhou Enlai, CFAU aims to train professional personnel in foreign service, international studies as well as in careers related to international business and law. Highly selective, it has a 2000 strong student body.
The agreement includes a concurrent degree programme which will allow students to complete a bachelor’s degree from CFAU and a master from the Graduate Institute in five years, instead of six. It will also enable several master and doctoral students from each institution to spend a semester at the partner institution. Equally, the agreement will encourage faculty exchange and research projects, as well as collaboration in the field of executive education.
With this new agreement, the Institute now has a portfolio of 43 partner institutions around the world, of which 13 are in Asia.
