• The Programme for the Study of Global Migration published the "Report on the Symposium: Joint Reflections on Migration and Development held at the Graduate Institute – Geneva, on August 23-24 2011".
  

• The Swiss National Science Foundation awarded funding to a research project headed by Professor Vincent Chetail entitled “Statelessness in international law: which regime(s) for which right(s) ?”. Starting in 2012, the project will be hosted by the PSGM. More info

• On 29 May 2012, Mariette Grange of the Global Detention Project will take part in Dispelling Myths about Migration, a panel discussion about challenging everyday misperceptions about migrants and migration, organized jointly by IOM and British Council.

• Dr. Jerome Elie represented the Programme for the Study of Global Migration at the IOM workshop on Moving to Safety: Migration Consequences of Complex Crises, 24-25 April 2012, Geneva.

• Ms. Izabella Majcher represented the Programme for the Study of Global Migration at the 'Mini-Symposium' on  Migration, Family, Human Rights, organized by Global Migration Policy Associates, Geneva, 24 April 2012.
