Till Mostowlansky is a Research Fellow at the Department of Anthropology and Sociology, who was awarded an Ambizione grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. Dr Mostowlansky is an anthropologist researching modernity, development, infrastructure, mobility and Islam in contemporary Central Asia and its globally dispersed diasporic communities. He has lectured at the University of Bern (2013-16) and at The University of Hong Kong (2017). He was also a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore (2016) and the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, The University of Hong Kong (2017-18). He currently holds honorary appointments at the Universities of Sussex and Bern.
