Before joining the Graduate Institute, Sungmin Rho obtained a PhD from the department of Political Science at Stanford University and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Center for the Study of Contemporary China at University of Pennsylvania. Her research bridges international and comparative political economy with a regional focus on China.
