E069 | Autumn | 6 ECTS

This course introduces students to some of the major issues in international affairs with a focus on challenges and opportunities for international cooperation. The issues covered may vary according to current affairs in the international sphere (environment, security, health, conflicts, trade, development, etc.) but we will focus mainly on the global governance of these issues, with special emphasis on diversity of perspectives. Some analytical frameworks aimed at ordering and better analysing these issues will be developed. Some key speakers from the policy-making community in Geneva (international and non-governmental organisations and country missions) will be invited to present their views on these issues.
