This course considers antitrust statutes and policies from both legal and economic perspectives, with special emphasis on Europe. The objective of the course is to provide a background on antitrust practices and to train students in undertaking an economic analysis of antitrust cases while recognising the interplay between legal and economic aspects. Topics addressed include: collusion, horizontal restrictions of competition, vertical agreements, abuse of dominance and mergers. It is open to MIA students.
