With a commitment to academic excellence, our approach to teaching presents the following distinguishing features:
- High priority is placed on facilitating interaction between students and faculty working in small groups which allows them to benefit fully from a wealth of exchanges among people from all over the world;
- Particular importance is given to personal academic study which translates as a limited number of teaching hours thereby allowing the students more time to prepare for their seminars and to devote to their Masters or Ph.D dissertations;
- A policy of bilingualism allows individual students to choose to express themselves and submit their written work in either one of the two official languages of the Institute (English or French); students have a personal responsibility to ensure that they have a good understanding of the other language;
- Special consideration is given to the professional prospects of the students, which is reflected in the regular up-dating of the curriculum to take account of current developments. Several extra-curricular workshops are offered to enable students to acquire or update the skills necessary for an international career.
