Winter Programme on the United Nations and Global Challenges

The application period for the Winter Programme 2013 will open in July 2012.

 

 

The winter programme provides students with a unique opportunity to learn and think about major global challenges and how these are being addressed by the international community. Special attention will be paid to the role of the United Nations as a tool of global governance.

Emphasis on role-playing and social events also enables students to experience multiculturalism and global diversity firsthand. Students will gain knowledge of international challenges and build confidence to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Two-week intensive programme

To improve and update your knowledge, the programme will focus on the core mission of the UN as well as develop critical analyses of future challenges in international relations :

Exchange ideas with peers from a cosmopolitan student and professional body

The programme is open to junior and senior undergraduates with a strong interest in international affairs. A unique opportunity to network and create sustainable bonds!

Geneva, an ideal place to meet experts and visit international organisations

Often referred to as the "capital of peace", Geneva is a city with an international outlook steeped in humanitarian tradition. It is home to the European seat of the United Nations, many of the world’s prominent international organisations, hundreds of non-governmental organisations as well as numerous headquarters of leading multinational companies.
