    PhD Paris II Panthéon-Assas
    Professor Chetail has been a member of the faculty since 2003. He is also Research Director at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (since 2004) and Research Director in International Law at the Programme for the Study of Global Migration (since 2008).

    He has been Visiting Professor at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law – San Remo (since 2005), the University of Paris XI (since 2006), the University of Tunis II (since 2006), the African University of Technology and Management – Benin (2007), the University of Jean Moulin Lyon III (2006-2008), the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2008), and the International Institute of Human Rights – Strasbourg (2009).

    Professor Chetail is Editor in-Chief of Refugee Survey Quarterly (Oxford University Press) and Editor of the series “Organisation internationale et relations internationales” and “Axes” at Bruylant, Brussels. He serves regularly as a consultant to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

    Vincent Chetail’s papers are available on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).

    Areas of expertise

    His areas of research relate to refugee and migrant law, humanitarian law and human rights, international criminal law, and collective security and peace-keeping.
