The Institute holds numerous conferences, public lectures, round tables and other events dedicated to intellectual debate and forward-looking reflection on major world challenges.
GRADUATE INSTITUTE LECTURES
These lectures are part of a series organised in partnership with the Swiss French-language newspaper Le Temps. Leading figures active in the field of international cooperation or professors from prestigious universities provide analysis of issues related to international relations and development. The lectures are meant to stimulate intellectual exchange and contribute to promoting the Institute. These events take places from 18:00 to 19:30 in the Jacques Freymond Auditorium or at the Geneva International Conference Centre.
NEWS BRIEFINGS
Speakers include one or more of the Institute’s professors or prominent guests who give a presentation on a subject related to current events. News Briefings favour informal exchange between the Institute’s students, the public and the media. These events take place between 12:30 and 13:30.
SUMMER LECTURES
These round tables are organised in June and July on subjects related to the Summer Programme on International Affairs and Multilateral Governance as well as the Summer Programme on the WTO, International Trade and Development.
OTHER CONFERENCES AND ROUND TABLES
The Institute holds other public conferences and round tables during which professors, researchers, leading figures from politics and international organisations or journalists share analyses on issues related to the Institute’s teaching and research activities.
