Could you describe your current position?

Currently I represent the United Arab Emirates in the different events and activities related to the ITU. I am intensively involved in the UAE as well as the Arab Countries preparations for the major ITU conferences and events, in particular the ones resulting international treaties/agreements such as the World Radiocommunication Conference, Plenipotentiary Conference, the World Telecommunication Development Conference, and the ITU Council Meetings. The objective of all these meeting is to facilitate the World access to the latest Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Services by harmonizing as far as possible the ICT Policies, Regulations, Standards, and Use around the Globe.

How do you think the Executive Master INP will be beneficial to your career plans and projects?
My current position involves a lot of international agreements development and drafting, and therefore a lot of international negotiations. Therefore the Executive Master INP is the right program for me to enhance both my knowledge and skills in international policy making and negotiation. INP broadens my viewing and analyzing of the different elements related international policy making and its process. The program helps me in better understanding the major phases of the international negotiation process and the key requirements for successful results. Last but not least the program highly improves my research, analytical reading skills and my ability to write Thesis paper.
 
Why did you choose the Graduate Institute?
First of all, the Graduate Institute is one of the best and most well-known specialized schools for International Relations Studies. The Institute is located at the heart of the international city of Geneva, where most of the United Nations and international organizations have their headquarters and hold their meetings and conferences. Second, it offers a wide variety of programs in the different areas related to the field of international relations. Third, the programs are of high standard, and are very comprehensive and well organized. Last but not least the Institute offers Programs, such as Executive Master INP, which are very flexible for those who are working during the week and want to pursue their graduate studies part-time.
 
How is your participation experience?

The program as a whole is very well organized, the course curriculum is very comprehensive, the issues discussed are very recent and relevant, instructors and lecturers are real experts on their fields who are working on recent projects on their areas of expertise. Exercises in class are quite helpful. The students are from different nationalities and with very diverse work experience backgrounds. I have to recommend this course to every person who’s looking to enhance her/his experience and knowledge in the field of international relations in general and in the areas of negotiation and international policy making in particular.
