Requirements
To successfully complete the programme, participants must fulfill the following conditions and criteria:
- Attend a minimum of 80% of the programme.
- Successfully complete the modules: The three modules of the programme are evaluated separately. Evaluations consist of a written in-class exam, a take-home essay question, and the assessment of negotiation skills in simulations, respectively. Each of these module evaluations is equivalent to 20% of the final grade.
- Submit a final paper: At the start of the programme, each participant will be required to define a topic directly related to their own working environment. The topic will be continuously refined throughout the course of the programme. At the end of the programme each participant will be required to draft a problem-solving paper on their chosen topic. This will be evaluated by the supervisor once the curriculum has been completed. Approximate length of 8,000/10,000 words (40% of the final grade).
- Your attendance record and active participation in class are taken into account at the time of grading.
Diploma
Successful participants will receive the Executive Master in International Negotiation and Policy-Making of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
The Executive Master is an internationally-recognised "diploma of advanced studies"; it is not equivalent to a Ph.D programme. It has a weighting equivalent to 30 ECTS (European Credits Standards). Please consult the European universities system for further information about equivalence of credits.
