A one-day conference organised alongside the WTO's 11th Ministerial Conference in Buenos Aires

The CTEI is one of the organising partners.

Richard Baldwin and Joost Pauwelyn are part of the Academic Committee, reviewing a quarter of the 25 papers submitted in response to a Call for Papers.

Papers accepted via a very competitive process include:
  • Nivedita Sen Trade in the digital economy: understanding the role of WTO in international data flows. Nivedita is a Doctoral Candidate in International Law at the Graduate Institute
  • Amalie Giodesen Thystrup Trade in Services on the Agenda: The case for Domestic Regulation and the Shaping of a Regulatory Layer of New and Enhanced Disciplines. Amalie is a Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen and a former CTEI Visiting Fellow (2016)
  • Geraldo Vidigal,

Highligts of the day include the Special Session, at which a Policy Brief based on a TradeLab International Economic Law Clinic at the Graduate Institute will be presented.

The session will be introduced and moderated by:

  • Joost Pauwelyn,  Professor of International Law, Graduate Institute, Geneva. 

The Graduate Institute's Centre for Trade and Economic Integration is one of a number international institutions partnering with  the Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean (ITAL) of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), together with teh Ministry of Production of Argentina.
