Events and Dialogues

 

The Programme benefits from the Graduate Institute’s series of events and dialogues on subjects relevant to international and global governance.

Recent events have focused on the following themes:

• “Institutions for Climate Knowledge Governance: Building on WCC-3” which explored the nexus between climate science, policy and adaptation to climate change from political and practical perspectives;
• “Ensuring food security: what role for business” which addressed critical issues pertaining to business's engagement in enhancing agricultural productivity while considering environmental impact and the role of state and non-state actors in facilitating this engagement; and
• “Science-based Policies or Science-skeptic Decisions? A Politician's Dilemma” which addressed the role of science and results of scientific innovation in political decision-making. Cases related to chemicals, biologicals, food safety and pandemics were tackled by speakers and discussants.
