CCDP Project Brief No.5: Tajikistan Dialogue Project

Details: This project paper reviews the Tajikistan Dialogue Project, providing the reader with a concise overview. The paper features three main sections, beginning with historical background information placing the dialogue in its context. The second
main section delineates the evolution of the project and achievements. It is divided
into five subsections reflecting the main stages of the project. In the first two stages
the dialogue was set up and so-called confidence-building measures were
developed. The following three stages used a "dialogue through practice" approach
to implement the previously developed ideas. Finally, the paper addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the project and the implications of these insights for future or ongoing initiatives conducted as part of the "Religion and Politics" programme.

CCDP Project Brief No.1: The Swiss and Egyptian NGO Dialogue

Details: The CCDP has recently published a Project Brief highlighting the progress and results of the Swiss and Egyptian NGO Dialogue project. The project involves two faith-based NGOs, the Swiss Interchurch Aid (HEKS) and the Egyptian Zainab Afify's Organizations (ZAOs) in meetings and joint activities through the Diapraxis methodology; dialogue through action. The paper gives an overview of the project through a presentation of its rationale, the actors involved, and the activities set up since 2008. It also outlines the current dynamics, progress, and challenges faced by the actors and finally opens on the lessons learnt from the process.
