Public Conference - Tribe and Chieftaincy in Africa: Curse or Blessing in Disguise? Lessons from Somalia and South Sudan. Thuesday, 24 May at 18:30

The CCDP is pleased to invite you to a public conference with Ambassador Josef Bucher, Former Special Representative on conflict issues, with a focus on Sudan, at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (Bern), and Chairman of the Nuba-Mountains cease-fire negotiations in January 2002.

This event will be chaired by CCDP's Riccardo Bocco, Professor of Political Sociology at the Graduate Institute.

With Andrew Natsios. He is a Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. Natsios served as Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development from 2001 to January 2006. In addition to teaching he served as President Bush's Special Envoy to Sudan from October 2006 to December 2007. His new book Sudan, South Sudan, and Darfur: What Everyone Needs to Know (Oxford University Press) will be published in March 2012
