| Biography: |
Jérôme Bachelard completed his PhD at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in 2010. His dissertation analyzed the impact of international and domestic pressures and counter-pressures on governance reforms in Sub-Saharan African countries. As part of his thesis, Jérôme conducted field research in Madagascar, Kenya, Nigeria, and Chad. In 2010-2011 he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Development Strategies at Columbia University. He obtained a "Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies" from the Graduate Institute in 2004 and a "Licence" in Political Science from the University of Geneva in 2002. Jérôme has been a Teaching Assistant for four years at the University of Geneva and at the Graduate Institute, giving international relations seminars and supervising bachelor theses. He has also given lectures for the Graduate Institute’s Diplomatic Program. |
