AITVN
The Asian Institute of Technology in Vietnam (AITVN) was founded in 1993 following an agreement signed with the government of Vietnam. Since its creation, interest in the institute and its reputation with donors have continued to grow. Flexibility, a quest for innovation and creativity are the three pillars which characterise the AITVN’s activities. The institution provides the official link between local universities, society and industry. This activity constitutes the very essence of the mission of the AITVN: to be an international portal for the transfer of development technology for Vietnam in particular and the region in general, through the promotion of high quality and efficient training activities, postgraduate education courses and consultancy services. The AITVN offers academic programmes in technology, management, development and environment. It also specialises in short-term training courses as well as in development consultancies. Most of its training courses emphasise the importance of technological change in the context of sustainable development.
