Trade and Investment Law Clinic |

| The Trade and Investment Law Clinic is part of a seminar given by Professor Joost Pauwelyn. It offers an opportunity to analyse WTO dispute settlement rules and jurisprudence through a combination of theory and practice. Working in groups and under supervision, students deal with legal questions coming from real clients, including ICTSD, UNCTAD and OXFAM. |

DISSETTLE |

| Short for “Dispute Settlement in Trade: Training in Law and Economics”, DISSETTLE is an interdisciplinary project that will fund PhD and other young researchers to spend time at one of the five participating universities. It is designed to train a new cohort of economic and legal experts to be prepared and able to work together in formulating trade policy and settling international trade and investment disputes. Its core goal is to cross the current divide between legal and economic expertise. |

| The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) organises the Moot Court Competition on International Trade Law. This simulated hearing, based on the World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement system, involves not only law students from the entire world, but also several respected trade law experts and WTO legal officers. |

The Calculation and Design of Trade Sanctions in WTO Dispute Settlement |

The Centre organised a two-day interdisciplinary workshop on the calculation and design of trade sanctions in WTO dispute settlement. Several original papers were commissioned for the conference, and are now published as a volume by Cambridge University Press. |
